Where to begin…

I’ve been absent for over five months. There’s really no earth-shattering story here. Plantar fasciitis screwed up my world. Fortunately, that’s on its way out. That’s not the purpose of this blog.

This will be my last entry and I am going to close down this site.

I don’t know what I expected to accomplish by starting this blog. I hoped self reflection and chronicling my fitness progress would be good for me. But I haven’t noticed any major difference. It’s a time suck.

My case might be different than for others. I write for a living, so I’m doing this all day long.

Some people need lots of pats on the back to reach their goals. If reflective practice and assurance from others helps push you forward, that’s cool. How you bake the cake really doesn’t matter, as long as you are happy with the results.

To me, the whole scene here reminds me of one big circle jerk. No thanks.

To be clear, I’m not seeking sympathy from anyone. I don’t need anyone’s advice on how to successfully run a blog. The missing ingredient I need to keep this going is not talent or inspiration.

It’s time. I don’t have it.

If I’ve interacted with you since I’ve been here, I hope you continue to see success in your goals.

And don’t worry about me (you won’t….I’ve barely been a blip on your radar anyway). My health will remain my highest priority through good times and bad. It’s the one constant that makes everything else seem insignificant.
